Rate Changes
There will be two rate changes in 2026.
January 1, 2026
The rate will change from $120 to $140 per hour.
May 1, 2026
The rate will change from $140 per hour to $160 per hour.
How come
My last rate change was in 2018. During the 2020 pandemic I did not change my rates. Instead, I took on additional teaching positions to keep rates stable and ensure my security.

Truth be told, I simply neglected to raise my rates and 2026 is a year of catch up.
The business side
I entered this career out of interest and fascination. As a result, the business side of counselling has not be my favourite task to manage.
Instead of one large rate bump, I plan to stage these changes. Today, November 9, 2025 the first change will take place in two months. The second change will occur four months later on May 1, 2026.
Longer term security is the force behind this change.
